Romania's Dacia car registrations in France down 25.5% in first seven months

Romanian car Dacia registrations in France fell by 25.5 percent in the first seven months of this year, to 52,311 units, compared to the same period last year, after being down by 49 percent in July, according to the French Carmaker Committee (CCFA).

In the first seven months, Dacia has reached a market share of 3.78 percent in France, in sales volume, compared with 5.08 percent recorded in the same period last year. Also, on the light commercial vehicles segment, Dacia sales decreased by 13.7 percent, to 3006 units, with a market share of 1.18 percent, compared to 1.41 percent in first seven months of 2010.

In France, the total number of new passenger car registrations totaled 1.385 million units in the first seven months, up 0.2 percent compared to the same period in 2010.
