Romania exports EUR 118.7 mln of tobacco products, imports only EUR 19.7 mln
Romania exported tobacco products worth of EUR 118.7 million in the first four months of the year, according to statistics. The value of exports was 20.7 percent higher than in the same period of last year. Meanwhile, the country imported only EUR 19.7 million tobacco products, which was a drop of 15.1 percent.
The tobacco industry in Romania hires 1,500 people, with an average net salary of RON 2,943 (around EUR 700).
