Former Dire Straits members return for two concerts in Romania next year

12 November 2015

Former members of rock band Dire Straits will return to Romania next year. The Dire Straits Experience Tour comprises two concerts: one at Filarmonica Banatul in Timisoara on March 19, and another one at Sala Palatului in Bucharest on March 20.

After the band’s success in Romania in 2013, original band member Chris White returns to the country with Chris Whitten – the drummer in the band’s last tour between 1991 and 1992, Paddy Milner, Terence Reise, Tim Walters, and Michael Feat. They will play well-known Dire Straits hits such as Sultan of swings, Your latest trick, Tunnels of love, Money for nothing, and Brothers in arms.

After a big success that lasted for 15 years, Dire Straits decided to end its story in 1996. The hits, however, continue to be heard live worldwide through theThe Straits project, which recently began to perform as The Dire Straits Experience.

The event in Romania is organized by Phoenix Entertainment. Tickets for the gigs in Timisoara and Bucharest are already on sale and can be purchased online here.
