Foreign direct investments down while current account deficit drops in Romania
The current account deficit reached EUR 1.15 billion in the first four months of the year, down 46.4 percent on the same period in 2010. Foreign direct investments reached EUR 2.59 billion last year in Romania, a downwards trend of 25.6 percent compared to the previous year. The foreign investments covered half of the current account deficit in the country last year.
