Car hits tourist bus in Romanian mountain resort, one dead

A 62 year old man died after the car he was driving collided with a bus carrying 46 French tourists, Mediafax reported. The accident happened on June 28, in the Romanian mountain resort of Sinaia.

The accident took place on the Ferdinand Boulevard, towards the exit for Buşteni. The car went into incoming traffic and hit the bus. It afterwards fell some 10 meters into a ravine.

Nobody in the bus was hurt.

“The road is wet. The traffic is directed on one lane. My colleagues are continuing their evaluation,” Marian Popescu, the spokesperson for the Prahova Police, told Mediafax.
