Retailer Billa Romania will open a new store in the Eastern part of the capital on November 30. The new supermarket will have a total area of 560 sqm and sell over 5,000 products. It will be the 59th Billa store opened in Romania, according to the company. The store is sited near the Minis market, on Aleea Barajul Dunarii St.

Billa Romania is part of Austrian group Rewe International, which runs 3,600 stores worldwide. The first Billa supermarket in Romania opened in 1999.

In 2010 Billa Romania posted a EUR 272 million net turnover, down from the EUR 288 million posted in 2009.
