Romania's former PM Emil Boc steps down from leadership of Democratic Liberal Party after low local elections results
The former Prime Minister, who recently won a seat as mayor of Cluj – Napoca, his home town, said PDL steered Romania out of crisis, and the measures taken by the party were good and correct, but that they damaged the party's image and ultimately the number of votes it received.
The resignation announcements came after Elena Udrea first stepped down from the helm of the Bucharest branch of the party. We wrote about it and about PDL's results in the local elections here.
