Romanian meat producer Agricola Bacau managed to increase its sales in the first nine months of this year by 4%, to some EUR 105 million, most of which – 60% - was generated by the poultry producer Agricola International.

The increase in poultry sales was even higher – 8% - than the average increase in the group, while in terms of volumes, the growth was of 13%. The third quarter brought along a record level of sales: 9,900 tons of poultry, out of which 3,500 tons in September alone, said Grigore Horoi, president of Agricola.

The group also sells eggs, cold cuts, salami, semi-cooked and ready-meal products. It managed to increase its ready-meal sales by 18% thanks to higher exports, manly to France and Denmark.
