New York Times VR shorts at Bucharest cinema this week

A collection of the New York Times virtual reality (VR) shorts are being screened at the VR Cinema in Bucharest’s Veranda Mall this week, from Tuesday to Sunday.

The movie screenings are scheduled from 14:00 to 22:00, reports local News.ro. Bookings can be made online at Thevrcinema.ro.

Moreover, the VR Cinema will host a talk with The New York Times VR editor Jenna Pirog, an Emmy nominated filmmaker who will come to Bucharest to share her journalistic experience using emerging technologies. The event will be moderated by Deborah Chen, the founder of VR Cinema, and will be for the press only.

The VR Cinema in Veranda Mall is the first virtual reality cinema in Romania. It was opened in late June after a EUR 150,000 investment.
