Famous Romanian movies screened in two local prisons

Five feature-length Romanian movies will be screened in two Romanian prisons for two weeks until October 1. The internationally awarded movies “Policeman, adjective”,4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days”, “Stuff and dough”, California Dreamin' and  Love Building will be screened to prisoners in the Jilava jail in Bucharest, and in the Târgşor penitentiary for women in Prahova county.

The project, organized by movie production company 111 Film, the Romanian Cinematography center and the National Penitentiary Administration, aims to educate culturally and open new creative horizons for convicts. Prisoners will be allowed and encouraged to discuss after watching the movies, via a questions and answers session.

A similar program is scheduled for 2015, for other prisons across Romania.
