Dafora starts drilling for OMV Petrom and Hunt Oil in Romania
The drilling is 3,300 meters deep and is serviced by a 350-tonnes installation bought from Germany, according to Dafora.
US company Hunt Oil has moved its London office to Bucharest, after having signed a partnership with OMV Petrom on two exploration licenses in Romania in September last year.
Oil and gas company Petrom has partnered Hunt Oil Company Romania in jointly exploring the onshore areas Adjud and Urziceni East, according to Petrom.
“This partnership is […] the first joint venture for onshore exploration. […] Together with Hunt Oil Company Romania we will invest EUR 25 million in the following years within this project,” said Johann Pleininger, member of the Petrom directorate in charge with Exploration and Production.
