The Bucharest Municipality wants to get a total of EUR 170,000 through projects financed with grants from the Norwegian Government. The Municipality’s participation in the two projects is on the General Council’s agenda for the meeting scheduled for March 27, according to local Mediafax.

If the projects will be approved, in the two parks will be conducted protection and maintenance works for the protected trees. Also, elements for public information will be placed in the two parks, Cismigiu and Carol.

In Cismigiu park, there are protected trees from several species, such as Platanus, Torreya nucifera and Torreya californica.

In February, the Bucharest City Hall approved two other projects through which the Municipality wants to revamp Carol and Cismigiu parks with EUR 4 million.
