Romania’s tax authority - ANAF managed to increase the collected budget revenues by RON 1.17 billion (EUR 257 million) in April over the same month last year, ANAF president Bogdan Stan said yesterday after a meeting with prime minister Sorin Grindeanu.

In total, the tax collection reached over EUR 15 billion in the first four months of the year, reports local Agerpres. VAT reimbursements totaled EUR 856.4 million between January and April, down from EUR 1.1 billion during the same period last year.

The ANAF president explained that the annual difference in VAT reimbursements is related to the lower requests from taxpayers for VAT reimbursement.
