Romanian students, third largest foreign student community in Hungary

Over 10,000 foreigners registered at universities and colleges in Hungary in the previous academic year, most of them coming from Germany, Slovakia and Romania, reports Magyar Nemzet, cited by local Agerpres.

Over 1,400 German students went to study in Hungary last year, 701 from Slovakia, 551 Romanians, 458 Turks, 433 Brazilians, 399 French students and 398 Spaniards. There is also a large number of students with double citizenship.

Most of the foreign students, over 1,300, went to medicine. The rest attended courses of dental medicine, veterinary medicine and healthcare.
