17 October 2013

The new shopping center Promenada, developed by Raiffesien Evolution, opened earlier today (October 17) in Bucharest’s Floreasca area, after an investment of more than EUR 130 million.

The new mall, which expects up to 30,000 visitors daily, has a total leasable area of 35,000 sqm and 1,300 underground parking places.

It comprises 140 stores spread over four floors, such as Adidas, C&A, Ecco, Douglas, H&M, Lacoste, Manoush, Humanic and Stefanel.

The shopping center has a 7,000 sqm outdoor terrace which will become a garden during summer and a skating rink during winter, and will also host Christmas fairs during the winter holidays.

“With the launch of Promenada mall we complete a total investment of around EUR 300 million, achieved in the Romanian economy in a time of crisis and made of three ‘state of art’ projects: Floreasca City Center and Sky Tower office buildings and Promenada shopping center, the first two developments being already successfully sold,” said Gerald Beck, Managing Director Raiffeisen Evolution.

Access to the Promenada mall can be made from Calea Floreasca, as well as from Barbu Vacarescu street.

Romanian home decorations retailer Chic Ville opens today (October 17) its first store in Bucharest within Promenada mall, after total investments of EUR 250,000, while IT&C retailer Flanco also inaugurates its 1,600 unit in the shopping center, following an investment of EUR 1.5 million.
