Media: E.On and Gdf Suez interested in Enel’s Romanian assets

Energy groups E.On and Gdf Suez are interested in taking over some of the electricity distribution assets Italian group Enel is looking to sell in Romania, according to market sources, cited by local Economica.net.

“Gaz de France plans to take over the distribution in Banat and Muntenia Sud, which covers Bucharest, while E.On is negotiating the purchase of distribution in Banat,” according to the sources.

Both Gdf Suez and E.On are already active on the Romanian market. None of the two companies commented the market rumours.
