Holde Agri Invest, the first agricultural company to be listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), announced a strategic partnership with AgroCity, a local technology company that has developed software to help farmers manage all their data and activities.
"Agriculture is a strategic sector for the Romanian economy, but it still does not benefit enough from digitalization. We believe in sustainable and efficient agriculture. To achieve this, it is essential to rely on technology. When we set up Holde, it was clear to us that land exploitation would be only one of the directions of our activity, the other being investments in companies and startups that develop state-of-the-art agricultural technologies," explained Iulian Cîrciumaru, Council President, Holde Agri Invest.
The solution developed by AgroCity digitizes all the operations of an agricultural farm, including the production, forecast, and data analysis, as well as the management of leased land.
The software provides a detailed analysis of how expenses and income are distributed on a farm and improves workflows.
"There is great potential to increase the productivity of the Romanian agricultural sector by using data and technology in a much more efficient way," says Marius Paşca, CEO and co-founder of AgroCity. He laid the foundations of the business in 2019 with Antonio Primera, an entrepreneur, and full-stack web developer.
