Australia's well known ska- jazz band The Cat Empire comes to Romania this year

Australian ska – jazz band The Cat Empire will perform in Romania this summer, at the B’ESTFEST Summer Camp 2014 festival in Bucharest. The band opens up the list of international headliners for the festival scheduled between July 31 and August 2 at the Mogosoaia Palace domain near Bucharest.

Before appearing at B’ESTFEST, The Cat Empire will perform at the Jazz TM festival in Timisoara, in Western Romania, between July 9 and 11. This will be the band's first concert in Romania.

The Cat Empire, created in 1999, is made of six members, Felix Riebl (percussion and vocals), Harry James Angus (trumpet and vocals), Will Hull-Brown (drums), Jamshid "Jumps" Khadiwhala (decks, percussion), Ollie McGill (keyboard and backing vocals), and Ryan Monro (bass and backing vocals), who are often accompanied by The Empire Horns, a brass duo composed of Ross Irwin (trumpet) and Kieran Conrau (trombone). They also have recurring guest musicians.

The band's most recent album was Steal the Light, released in May 2013. The song by the same name below.
