Romania’s Parliament adopted on December 15 the articles of the state budget for 2016.

The MPs approved 22 amendments to the Government’s draft budget and rejected 309.

Every member of the Parliament’s special committees can come up with an amendment. These are later debated within the committees and can be approved or rejected.

The number of amendments was lower compared to other years, when MPs have filed even thousands of change proposals.

The Parliament will give its final vote on the budget today, December 16.
