Romanian real estate investor to spend EUR 35 mln on eco farm, inn and small traditional village near Bucharest

Romanian real estate investor Valentin Bitoiu, co-owner of the AMCS construction company and seller of the S-Park office compound in Bucharest, has recently finalized the first stage of a EUR 35 million in an eco residential compound 30 kilometres from Bucharest.

The compound, located near the Snagov forest, includes an eco farm and a 35-room inn, which required a EUR 15 million investment. In the next step, he will build 200 houses, a residential compound which will require an extra EUR 20 million, and for which work should start in 2014.

casa vlasia housescasa vlasia housesThe compound, called Casa Vlasia, responds to a need for quietness, away from the urban agglomeration, a place with good food and nature, said Valentin Bitoiu. The farm includes a vegetables garden, a vineyard, and an animal farm, as well as an artificial lake.

Non-poluting biomass is used for heating the place, and the resulting ash is used as fertilizer, and so is the waste from  the animal farm.

The houses in the future residential compound will be equipped with electronic POS, which will allow the owners to order products from the nearby farm.
