Romanian authorities close restaurants for not issuing tax receipts

Fiscal authorities have closed several restaurants in Bucharest for between one and three months, for not having issued tax receipts.

At the end of the previous week, fiscal inspectors searched 125 companies in Bucharest and suspended the activity for 24 of them.

They issued fines over EUR 202,000 and seized cash worth over EUR 51,600.

The restaurants are located in areas such as Dorobanti, Herastrau, Decebal or Mall Vitan. The list includes units such as White Horse, Ruby Tuesday, La Belle Epoque or Restaurant Complex Herastrau, reports local Mediafax.

The fiscal inspectors also closed the exchange unit Dristor Exchange in the Mall Vitan shopping center.
