Romania is among the top ten holiday destinations preferred by the Spanish, according to results of search engine Jetcost, reports local Agerpres.

Romania ranks seventh among preferences of Spaniards in search of holiday destinations, ahead of countries such as Portugal, the Netherlands and Greece, as well as some Latin American countries.

Bucharest is also among the first ten most popular cities for holidays, ranking ninth, ahead of New York, Seville and Lisbon.

Spanish travelers mainly prefer to spend holidays in their home country, but also in Italy and the UK, while the most searched cities are London, Ibiza or Palma de Mallorca.
