New Dacia Duster to be presented at Frankfurt Motor Show this September

28 August 2013

Romania’s car maker Dacia recently published photos of the new facelift version of the Duster SUV, which will be presented, in premiere, at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September. However,  Dacia didn’t show any photos with the car’s interior.

“Without losing the attributes that contributed to its predecessor’s success, the new model marks an evolution in terms of design, further highlighting its 4x4 valences,” according to Dacia.

The new Duster features a more expressive front end with a modified grille and restyled back and front lights.

“We capitalized all those elements that have seduced our customers from the beginning, while maintaining the original proportions of the vehicle. The model’s identity elements, such as the grille, have been upgraded,” said David Durand, design director for Dacia.

The new 16’’ aluminum wheels with a “dark metal” look and the car’s “Mud and Snow” tires give more dynamism to the new Duster.

The Dacia Duster model is produced in Romania, at Mioveni. Sales of Romania’s car brand Dacia went up by 16.5 percent in the first half of the year on the same period of 2012, to some 211,000 units. The results are due to the success of the Duster model, and to better sales in Lodgy and Dokker models, as well as to the new options for Logan and Sandero, according to car market Renault, the owner of Dacia.
