How many Romanians listen to the radio and which are their favorite stations?

Romania had about 11.16 million radio listeners between January 12 and April 26, 2015, some 55,000 more than in the same period of last year, according to the Radio Audience Survey conducted by IMAS and GfK Romania.

Kiss FM was the most listened radio station in Romania and in the cities, while Radio ZU was the most popular in Bucharest.

At a national level, Kiss FM ranked first with over 2 million listeners and a 9.8% market share. The figures are lower than in the spring of 2014 when the radio station had 2.25 million listeners and a market share of 11.2%, reports local Mediafax.

Kiss FM was followed by Radio Romania Actualitati (1.87 million listeners and a market share of 14.7%), Radio ZU (1.69 million listeners and a market share of 8%), ProFM (1.52 million listeners), Europa FM (1.42 million), Antena Satelor Radio (767,000 listeners), Magic FM (701,000), Radio 21 (over 579,000), Radio Romania Oltenia Craiova (some 407,000) and Radio Romania Iasi (over 402,000 listeners).

At an urban level, for the audience aged over 11, Kiss FM ranked first with 1.22 million listeners and a market share of 8.7%. In the spring of 2014, the radio station had 1.53 million listeners and a market share of 11.3%. Radio Romania Actualitati ranked second, followed by Radio ZU, Europa FM, ProFM, Magic FM, Radio 21, Radio Antena Satelor, Rock FM and National FM.

In Bucharest, Radio ZU led the ranking with 270,600 listeners and a market share of 11.4%. Next came Radio Romania Actualitati, Magic FM, Kiss FM, Europa FM, ProFM, Romantic FM, Rock FM, Radio 21, and Gold FM.
