TP-Link aims for USD 8 mln sales in Romania this year, up 30%

Chinese network equipment producer TP-Link plans to reach USD 8 million sales in Romania this year, up 30% compared to 2013, as the demand for such equipment on the local market is growing.

“We aim to increase sales on the wireless devices market, with the Powerline adapters, but also with the mobile routers. We will also extend our product portfolio by starting to sell accessories,” said Hermes Song, general manager for TP-Link Romania.

He said that the Romanian market is the second most important in the region for the group, after Poland, and he added that the company targets a market share increase by 5 percentage points, from 60% in 2013. TP-Link estimates the total sales of wireless routers and devices in Romania at USD 12 million.
