Romania's Tax Agency wants to keep track of troublesome contributors

20 August 2015

Romania’s Tax Agency ANAF plans to organize a database of the tax contributors who get removed from the tax offence record. It will keep the data for ten years, according to an Emergency Ordinance draft, cited by local Economica.net.

The tax offence record is a means of recording and tracking tax dodgers. ANAF doesn’t currently have a means of tracking contributors who have been registered in the tax offence record and then removed.

The new project aims to create a database which the tax inspectors can consult anytime, to determine someone’s fiscal history.
