Romania wins women’s team epee bronze in World Cup in Barcelona

The Romanian women’s epee team won the bronze medal in the World Cup competition in Barcelona, on Sunday, January 25, according to frscrima.ro. Romania beat Russia 33-32 and came third.

The gold medal went to Sweden, which defeated Italy with 45-37.

The Romanian team was made of Ana Maria Brânză, Simona Gherman, Simona Pop and Amalia Tătăran.

This is the second year in a row when Romania gets the bronze medal at Barcelona. In 2014, the Romanian team was surpassed by Russia and Hungary.
