Street events close down car traffic in several Bucharest areas this weekend

Car traffic in several areas of Bucharest will be restricted this week-end for several events. The Matasari street, between the Matei Voievod and Pache Protopopescu boulevards will be closed down from Friday to Sunday for the Women on Matasari festival. Cars will make room for fashion shows, concerts, and theater plays.

A running event, the Generation Cross, will have the Maior Coravu street closed down between the Dumitru Marinescu and Toni Bulandra streets on Saturday.

Another cross, also to be held on Saturday, between 08,00 and 14,00, will have the Constantin Prezan boulevard closed down, between 10,00 and 14,00. The running track will follow the route Constantin Prezan boulevard, the triumphal arch, the Kiseleff boulevard, Victoriei Square, Aviatorilor boulevard – Hotel Helvetia.

There will also be two ‘competing’ marches on Saturday, one for diversity, between 16,00 and 20,00 on Kiseleff boulevard, and another for normality, held by the New Right Association between 11,30 and 12,00 on the same day in the Victoriei Square parking lot. The march will follow the route Victoriei Square – Calea Victoriei – United Nations Square – Patriarchy Hall, between 12,00 and 14,30.
