Real hypermarkets have sales of EUR 49 mln in Romania
The four Real hypermarkets that German group Metro still owns in Romania had sales of EUR 49 million between October 2014 and September this year.
One year earlier, their business amounted to EUR 42 million.
French group Auchan bought the Real hypermarket network from Metro in 2013. In Romania, the retailer had 24 hypermarkets. However, Auchan only acquired 20 Real hypermarkets, and Metro had to keep four, according to the conditions imposed by the Competition Council.
According to market sources, the four Real hypermarkets still owned by Metro are also for sale.
