The European Investment Bank (EIB) will provide support to the Romanian authorities to help increase the European funds’ absorption rate.

The EIB and the Romanian Government will sign a memorandum for this collaboration, reports local Hotnews.ro.

The Romanian authorities will receive support for implementing the projects within the 2014-2020 programming period, but also for closing the 2007-2013 Transport and Environment Sectoral Operational Programme.

The European Investment Bank will help with monitoring, evaluation, preparation, and implementation. It will also provide experts who will offer specialized support in preparing the necessary documents.
