Bucharest Court forces Vodafone to remove unfair terms from contracts

16 December 2015

The Bucharest Court has ruled that the local telecom operator Vodafone Romania should remove several unfair terms from its contracts.

For example, clients have to pay damages to the company if they decide to terminate their contract before the expiration date. The practice should stop, according to the Bucharest Court’s decision cited by local Profit.ro.

However, the sentence is not final, and Vodafone can file an appeal.

The National Authority for Consumer Protection - ANPC has sued Vodafone on some unfair terms included by the company in the contracts.
