Romanian producer Agricola Bacau invests EUR 3 mln in expanding network of stores

25 October 2011

Romanian poultry producer Agricola Bacau wants to expand its network of stores in Romania and design its stores based on a new concept, following investments of EUR 3 million until 2013, the company has announced. The producer wants to add 127 stores to its network, which now includes 43 units. Around EUR 15,000 will be required per store.

“Expanding our own network of stores is an appropriate strategic direction to support our development plans. It is a good source of cash, but an important help in terms of image. The network of stores will allow us to be more connected to the market realities and give us the chance to control the price of our products,” said Grigore Horoi, president of Agricola Bacau.

The company hopes that its own stores will bring 30 percent of its sales in 2013, compared to 11 percent in 2010.
