Romania registers highest increase in construction work

Romania recorded the most significant advance in construction work in February 2015, over the previous month, according to EU’s statistical office Eurostat.

This went up by 5.3%, whereas in Poland it rose by 3.8% and in Hungary by 3.2%. The biggest drops were reported in Germany (3.1%), France and Portugal (both with 2.2%).

In February construction work recorded a 1.2% decline in the EU and 1.8% in the eurozone, over the previous month.

Compared to February 2014, construction work decreased by 2.4% in the EU and by 3.7% in the eurozone. In Romania, construction work went down by 19.5% year-on-year.
