Almost 9,150 people have applied for claiming the prize offered at the first fiscal receipt lottery organized in Romania. As the grand prize is split between all the winners, the value of one prize amounts to RON 109 (around EUR 24), according to data centralized late-last week by the Ministry of Finance, cited by local Mediafax.

The lottery offers total prizes of RON 1 million (some EUR 225,000), which will be equally split between all winning fiscal receipts, validated by the Tax Administration ANAF.

The winning receipts are the ones issued on February 7, with a value between RON 6.00 and RON 6.99. Those who own one or more winning fiscal receipts can still claim the prize until May 13. In order to do so, they must submit the tax receipt in original and a copy of the ID card at any ANAF unit.

The lottery will be organized monthly, on the first Sunday after the 15th of each month. The drawings will include all fiscal receipts issued in the previous month.
