Romanians younger than 35 who want to start a micro-company can submit business plans starting Tuesday to a program supporting young entrepreneurs, and receive up to EUR 10,000 of the value of their planned business. The program was allotted a budget of EUR 4.9 million this year.

Romania has often been labeled as one of history’s greatest survivors. A past of invasions and occupations, Romania has recently undergone dynamic social and economic changes and joined the EU in 2007. While the country attempts to leave behind its communist past, present day attitudes and traditions still reflect this part of its turbulent history.
