Agroli Group plans EUR 0.5 mln expansion of Crevedia Express stores chain in Romania

Romanian poultry producer Agroli Group wants to invest EUR 0.5 million in its Crevedia Express chain of stores in Romania, aiming to add 20 more units to this network. Eight of them will be in Bucharest, where the company already runs 10 units. 12 new units will be opened in the country side.

The 13 existing stores sell around 25 tonnes of products a week, according to the company. Agroli Group already opened five stores in 2011.

Founded in 2006, Agroli Group runs Avicola Crevedia and Avicola Tartasesti, Crevedia Express and a factory of combined fodder. Its main brands are Avicola Crevedia, La Ferma and Galo. Agroli Group, the group's management company registered in Dambovita county, posted EUR 27.9 million in turnover last year and a profit of EUR 120,000, according to data from the Ministry of Finance.  The group is owned by Lebanese business people.

Avicola Crevedia the first poultry factory in Romania. The production started in 1959, when it was the first largest poultry industrial company in the Eastern Europe. Avicolea Crevedia was privatized in 1999, when the Romanian state sold it to American company Tec.  Agroli Group took it over in 2006.
