Largest Irregular Video Wall in CEE, implemented in new shopping center in Romania

30 March 2015

Samsung Electronics Romania has recently implemented the largest Irregular Video Wall in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) in Brasov, central Romania. The Video Wall is part of the newly opened Coresi Shopping Resort.

The 90 screens forming the Video Wall have different dimensions, with diagonals of 40 and 55 inches. They are arranged on the three sides of the shopping center’s main open area – the Market with Trees (Piata cu Copaci).

All three components cover a total of 220 sqm, the largest one having 90 sqm.

“This is an important step for us after we launched the largest Samsung Video Wall full HD in Europe in November 2013, in one of the major commercial spaces in Bucharest,” said Sorin Manea, Head of Enterprise Business Division.

The Irregular Video Wall concept involves the arrangement of screens of different sizes with small spaces between them, in a mosaic. This concept bases on the ability of the human eye to spot the missing areas and to integrate them in the visual landscape.

The Coresi Shopping Resort opened on Friday, March 27, in Brasov, on the spot of the former Tractorul machinery factory. French company Immochan, the real estate arm of the Auchan group, has invested some EUR 60 million in the new shopping center.
