About 17% of local companies are fiscally inactive, according to an analysis by MemoX, an application which checks the company’s fiscal information in real time.

QuickMobile group has launched the application.

Most companies which run the risk of tax inactivity are in Bucharest. The capital has over 90,000 firms in this situation.

Companies which carry out business with fiscally inactive firms risk having their transactions disregarded by Romania’s Tax Authority Fisc. They also run the risk of not benefiting from VAT deduction.

Romania has over 1.4 million companies registered, 230,000 of which are fiscally inactive. In the last year, more than 100,000 firms recorded various changes to the Trade Registry.
