Romanian regulator to announce new rules for the local insurance market
Romania’s Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) will announce new rules for the insurance market, on Thursday, November 6.
The new rules might refer to the fees and expenses for the distribution of mandatory auto insurance RCA, the types of assets which will be accepted to cover for local insurers’ capital reserves and to the complaints local insurers receive from customers, according to local news site Economica.net.
ASF wants to make the distribution fees for RCA insurance more transparent, to sanction insurance companies who get many complaints and to force insurers to cover their reserves with more liquid assets.
