Romanian companies to attend the eagerly awaited upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona

A group of 14 companies will represent Romania at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week, one of the most eagerly awaited tech events of the year.

The 14 Romanian companies which will attend the congress, set to open on February 24, are Arobs Transilvania Software, Codespring, IT Six Global Services, Medianet Group, Renovatio IT Solutions, RINF Outsourcing Solutions, Ropardo, Simartis Telecom, SimPlus, Lasting Software, Transilvania Software, Allview, Appscend and XL Team, according to the Romanian Association for the Software and Electronic Industry ARIES. On the Mobile World Congress website however, 16 companies are listed for Romania, including Rohde & Schwartz Topex and he Romanian Association for the Software and Electronic Industry.

The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is usually the international stage for new product launches, and is attended by the largest tech companies in the world, in total some 1,700 exhibitors, including mobile operators, device manufacturers, technology providers, vendors and content owners from across the world.

This year, the Founder and CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, will hold a keynote speech at the congress opening, together with Stephen T. Odell, President of Europe, Middle East and Africa, Ford Motor Company, and Susan Siegel, CEO, GE Ventures and healthymagination, among others.
