Omnilogic to deliver EUR 12.3 mln routers and network optimization to Radiocom in Romania

The Romanian state company Societatea Naţională de Radiocomunicaţii (Radiocom) will pay EUR 12.3 million to private company Omnilogic for an upgrade and optimization of its data network. Omnilogic will provide network routers for Radiocom, while delivering services for the upgrade and optimization of its data network, according to e-licitatie.ro.

Radiocom, with 1,900 employees, is one of the main suppliers for networks and eletronic communications network in Romania. The company posted a profit of around EUR 7 million in the first six months of this year, up from a loss of over EUR 28 million in the first six months of 2010.

Omnilogic posted USD 200 million in turnover in Romania last year, most of which coming from contracts with the state, through companies such as Radiocom.

Omnilogic has also won the bid to create one of the platforms of the eRomania project, a contract worth EUR 10 million attributed in 2009, which should yield an IT portal with information about all localities in Romania.
