About 300 Romanians have ordered the new Apple Watch, just two weeks after its launch.

Ten of them, three women and seven men, have ordered the gold-plated version, priced between RON 50,000 and RON 80,000 (EUR 11,330-18,129), according to retailer Quickmobile.  The regular version costs RON 1,850 (EUR 419) in Romania.

Buyers of the gold – plated versions paid directly by credit card, said Tudor Tiboc, CEO Quickmobile. Most of the watches they ordered are in yellow gold.

The Apple Watch is available in three versions, namely Watch Sport, Watch and Watch Edition.
