Fast-food chain Taco Bell will open its first restaurant in Romania on October 12. The restaurant will be located in the Baneasa Shopping City mall in Bucharest.
The company has recently launched a social media campaign announcing the new unit. The campaign says that the closest Taco Bell restaurant to Romania is currently in Nicosia, some 1,208 kilometers away.
Taco Bell has already started recruiting employees who will work in the Baneasa mall restaurant.
The company that owns the Taco Bell restaurants and franchises currently operates over 7,000 restaurants worldwide. It generates annual sales of over USD 9 billion.
Sphera Franchise Group runs the Taco Bell franchise in Romania. The company also operates the KFC, Pizza Hut and Pizza Hut Delivery franchises on the local market, with a total of over 100 restaurants and total sales of over EUR 130 million per year.
