Over half of office workers in Bucharest spend 30 to 60 min. to get to work

More than half (55%) of the employees who work in office buildings in Bucharest spend between 30 and 60 minutes to get from home to the office, according to a study by real estate consultancy firm CBRE, which evaluates the impact of the work environment on the employees’ activity. The employees who get from home to work in less than 30 minutes are much happier with their jobs. When it comes to office location, 76% of the employees say the most important thing is easy access to public transport. In terms of interior design, the most important aspects are ergonomic furniture, according to 82% of the respondents, adequate space for meals (78%) and the existence of individual offices (72%). CBRE surveyed 500 employees working in office buildings in various areas of Bucharest for this study. Most of the respondents, 43%, work in the IT and outsourcing sectors.
