Job offer: City Compass Media - paid internship in the commercial department

City Compass Media, part of the City Compass Group, is looking to hire an intern for its commercial team. Period: June/July 2015-September/October 2015-with possible extension as junior commercial team member As Community Support Officer, you will offer commercial and technical support on our new product City Compass Premium, online B2B marketing and be a point of touch for our Premium readers ( mainly expatriates in Romania) for technical support and communication. Additionally, we will train you in how to add value to foreign top management by offering the daily and weekly executive press reviews by Romania-Insider.com. You will also be involved in the commercial side of our print activities, where you will learn how to deal with existing and new print advertising clients, as well as get a glimpse into our online ad sales. We are looking for someone who:

• writes and speaks English very well (min. C-1 level). You should be a commander of the written word and be able to connect with audiences of different cultures in a professional and friendly manner, both in English and Romanian.
• is business and web-savvy. You can quickly learn about the Romanian media industry, understand our different approach and clearly communicate our products’ benefits to different audiences ( business savvy or not).
• has the ability to communicate complex information clearly and persuasively
• has the ability to research and compile information from a variety of sources
• is aware of and willing to research and learn about emerging content marketing & sales strategy trends, tools, and technology
• is able to work both independently and in a team, and meet deadlines
• has an initial understanding in web copy, SEO, and online and direct marketing
• has a hands-on mentality and is willing to work hard
• is capable of learning fast

Required studies: Enrolled as a student in a program related to media, marketing or business is a strength, but not a must. We are strongly convinced that your motivation and ability to quickly learn, communicating with the team, plus understanding and implementing what you learn is more important than any studies. Pay: Monthly allowance in order to cover business related fixed costs. You would join a young, creative team, work in a cozy office and benefit from an ‘always learning’ startup environment, with plenty of interesting projects to get involved into.
