Microsoft Romania will move offices to Skanska’s Campus 6 project next year

31 October 2018

Technology company Microsoft Romania has leased over 22,900 sqm of office space in the new Campus 6 office project developed by Swedish group Skanska in the central-western part of Bucharest.

Microsoft will also have 500 parking places reserved in this compound. The move is expected to take place in the third quarter of 2020, Skanska announced.

This is one of the biggest office leasing transactions signed this year. Real estate consultancy firm JLL brokered this deal for Microsoft. The legal advisers in this transaction were Peli Filip for Skanska and Eversheds Sutherland Romania for Microsoft.

The Campus 6 project, which is expected to be completed in 2022, will comprise four office buildings with a leasable area of about 81,000 sqm and an urban garden of 7,500 sqm. Skanska has already sold the project’s first building, Campus 6.1, to Austrian group CA Immo for EUR 53 million.
