Everybody knows that a healthy lifestyle involves doing sports, but having fun while doing some sports is definitely the best combination! What better way of remaining healthy while having fun with friends and family than ice skating? Here is a list of ice rinks in Bucharest you might want to try this winter: Ice rinks in the park: Alexandru Ioan Cuza Park (IOR Park) – the rink is located close to the Maramureseana Church on Liviu Rebreanu street. It is open daily between 10:00 and 22:00, and the access is free. Those who want to rent the ice skates have to pay RON 10 for one hour and a half. Cismigiu Park – located near Universitatii Square and the Old Town , the ice rink is open daily between 10:00 and 24:00. Price: RON 15. The ice skating rink in Cismigiu Park is one of the best-known in Bucharest. It is also among the biggest. Drumul Taberei – the rink is open from 12:00 to 17:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00 between Monday and Thursday, from 12:00 to 17:00 and 18:00 to 23:00 on Fridays, from 10:00 to 17:00 and 18:00 to 23:00 on Saturdays, and from 10:00 to 17:00 and 18:00 to 22:00 on Sundays. Ice skating rinks at shopping malls Veranda Mall – this shopping mall was opened in Bucharest this year, and has opened an outdoor ice rink in November. The rink covers 650 sqm, and is open daily between 10:00 and 22:00. A one-day ticket costs RON 15 from Monday to Thursday, and RON 20 during weekends. However, the visitors can also choose to buy subscriptions for one month or for the whole season. Read more here. Promenada Mall – this shopping mall also has an ice skating rink opened on the terrace, at the second floor. The rink is open daily between 10:00 and 22:00, and the entry tickets cost RON 20 from Monday to Thursday, and RON 25 in weekends. Those who want to rent the ice skates have to pay RON 15. Find more information here. AFI Palace Cotroceni – this is the shopping mall in Bucharest that lets visitors have fun on the ice all year long, no matter the season. The indoor ice rink is open daily, and tickets cost RON 18 from Monday to Thursday (10:00-24:00) and on Fridays (between 10:00 and 17:30), and RON 21 in weekends. Renting the ice skates costs RON 11.
