Media: Netflix Romania ups prices for new subscribers

Netflix Romania has raised its monthly fees for new users, for all its three subscription plans, local News.ro reported.

The increases are between EUR 1 and EUR 3, depending on the streaming plan. Thus, the basic plan costs EUR 9 now (instead of EUR 8), the standard subscription is EUR 12 (up from EUR 10), and the premium plan costs EUR 15 (up from EUR 12). The services included in these streaming plans remained unchanged.

Netflix has not yet announced higher prices for the subscriptions of current users in Romania so this means that the new hikes apply to new users only, at least for now, News.ro commented. Early this year, Netlfix has increased the prices for its subscribers in the US.

Online video streaming service Netflix launched in Romania in early-June 2016 and almost one year later, in May 2017, it also introduceda fully localized version of its service in Romania.
