Wizz Air suspends several international flights out of Romania

21 July 2020

Hungarian group Wizz Air, one of the biggest low-cost airlines in Europe, is suspending several international flights out of Romania because of the restrictions introduced by the local authorities, Economica.net reported.

The flights connecting Romania to Sweden, Portugal, Israel, and United Arab Emirates are suspended until July 31 inclusive.

Furthermore, the flights between Romania and Austria are suspended until the same date because of the restrictions introduced by the Austrian authorities.

The passengers whose reservations have been affected will be notified by email or through the company’s app.

They can receive 120% of the sum they paid for the trip in their Wizz client account, an amount that can be used to purchase Wizz Air products and services in the next 24 months.

They can also choose to have their money reimbursed, a process that will take longer. In this case, they receive 100% of the amount they paid. They will be notified by email about the steps that need to be taken.

The passengers who made reservations through tourism agencies need to contact them directly.
