Wienerwald opens second fast food restaurant in Bucharest

13 October 2011

Fast food chain Wienerwald has opened its second restaurant in Bucharest, in the Floreasca area. This came after the first opening, in April this year, of the unit in the Vitan area in Bucharest. Both restaurants also offer home delivery.

The Wienerwald franchise in Romania has been launched by Tunc Capa, the former president of Anchor Group, and Ali Capa, the former investment director of the same company, which owns the Bucuresti Mall and Plaza Romania shopping centers. The two left their jobs with the shopping center owners earlier this year.

Wienerwald's menu places it in competition with fast food restaurants like KFC. The chain has units in Germany, Romania and Turkey. In Romania, the chain is run by Victorian Food & Beverage, a company set up in 2010.
